THE Official Guide GUIDE
TO GETTING THE BEST
AT THE CAISTER SOUL WEEKENDER

Many of you ask how can we get the best Accommodation or how to add more people to your group, etc, when you come to the Weekender. Our famous Weekender Reception Girls have taken time out to share some hot tips with you...

One very important point - Due to recently added attractions there is only limited car parking available at the site, therefore if you are coming by car please car share as much as possible and larger groups would do better to use a minibus.

Tip 1

Adding to GroupYou can increase your party size by adding extra people to your group, spaces permitting. See the FAQ's below for more details. If you have received your 'Confirmation of Booking' form please call or e-mail us quoting your booking reference if you wish to add people to your group. If we have sold out on-site there is normally hotel accommodation or camping pitches available for late bookings and additions. Please try and book for your full and final group size when you make your initial booking, as this prevents disappointment when we sell out on-site!

Tip 2
Fingers UpAlthough we get to meet lots of you, unfortunately we don't know all of you, so remember NEVER send back your confirmation form with a name or address missing (as this will only annoy the office girls). Get your Confirmation Form back on time, complete with all photos and correct payments. Don't send them separately and never miss off an address. Make sure you enclose 2 photos of every person, along with a 1st class self addressed envelope for every person and everyone's name and full address are clearly printed. All confirmations that arrive with anything missing or incorrect sit in a box until everyone else has been processed so problem forms get allocated accommodation last!.

Tip 3
Tied UpThe Weekender Booking & Info Lines get very busy at times and the girls are often quite tied up. The best way to contact us is by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   The best times to ring are between 11am to 6pm Monday to Friday.  If you have already booked, ALWAYS quote your BOOKING REFERENCE when calling or e-mailing. Remember the easiest way to contact us is always by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we try to respond within 24 hours or sooner. Alternatively call our hotline number which is 0844 585 1000.

Tip 4
Old CaravanAlways book as early as possible as the best accommodation is allocated to early bookers . Also to get the best accommodation please make sure your 'Confirmation of Booking' Form gets back to as early as possible and well before the deadline shown on the form. Never send your Confirmation Form back late, or with anything missing unless you want to get put in a field!

Tip 5

Accomodation 2NOW, this is the important bit!! For reasons that even we don't understand, virtually all of the accommodation, including the brand new units, have sleeping arrangements for groups of people in even sizes of 4, 6 and 8, plus multiples of these numbers. (Large groups above 8 in size are allocated several holiday homes or chalets near to each other). So, if you want to get the best and newest accommodation try and arrange your party so that the final number is 6 upwards! There is only a limited amount of smaller accommodation so you do need to book early if your group size will be smaller than six in total. Groups of 5 are normally allocated a four berth with one person using the sofa, and groups of 7 people a six berth with one on the sofa.

Tip 6
Bending Over

Pulling Hair OutAt the event our reception girls are always bending over to help you, but it does get busy on the first day. You can avoid long queues when checking by having all your tickets individually on arrival. Always get a Lanyard for your pass because if you lose it you will have to pay again. After you collect your Weekender Pass, get ONE person to enter Reception to collect your keys. This makes things easier for everyone and stops the reception girls from pulling their hair out.

Tip 7
Beach

Waterworld 2At every event we could make a fortune selling swimming costumes!! So many people forget to bring them, then see the waterworld and wished they had!! So this time don’t forget to bring your swimwear! The tropical Waterworld is FREE for you to use over the entire weekend so you can shoot the rapids, frolic in the fountains, whizz down the waterslides or relax and watch the world go by.

Tip 8
Noise DownBack in your accommodation don't turn the music up loud, especially after sunset and before mid-day. There are always some people trying to sleep in their accommodation, including staff on shift. Large sound systems are not permitted to be brought on-site. Also please make sure that you leave your accommodation clean and tidy when you check out, and place all rubbish in the bins outside your accommodation. Security make a note of noisy and untidy groups and allocate them miles away next time they book!

Question

How can I add someone to my booking?

Answer

Before you return your confirmation form simply call or e-mail us and we will see if it is possible to increase your group size and confirm any additions. If this is a late addition, ie after you have already returned your confirmation form you will need to call us as soon as possible as we may not have enough space or places available. Always try and book for the exact number in your group when you make your initial booking.

Question

When will I receive my Confirmation of Booking form?

Answer

This will depend when you book. We start processing bookings for a Caister Weekender as soon as all preceding events are over. You can book for Caister up to a year in advance, if there is an event in front then once that is over we will post you a Confirmation Form, normally 4 weeks after the preceding event has finished. Until then all bookings are stored in order.  If you book after any preceding event is over, then please allow up to 14 days for your Confirmation Form to be posted to you.

Question

Why do you need photos and why must photos be of the correct passport type and size?

Answer

Everyone that attends receives an event Pass with their photo embossed, this allows you to enter everywhere for free. When we make your Caister Pass your photos run through a special machine that fixes them to your pass, adds the Caister Hologram and then laminates them. If they are of the wrong size, not a clear image of your head and shoulders or on thin paper they will not run through the machine. A non-clear photo, if it has been drawn on, or if you are wearing a hat, mask etc, will be rejected for security reasons.

Question

What do we need to bring with us if staying onsite ?

Answer

All accommodation comes fully equipped with cooking facilities, fridge freezer, kettle, plates, knives & forks, cups and glasses, etc. Bedrooms have pillows and either duvets or blankets. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, soap, toiletries, toilet roll etc. We recommend that everyone brings some additional blankets or a duvet with them.

Question

Can I add someone to my group that I dont know well.

Answer

If you add people to your group and you are staying onsite then it is assumed that they will be sharing your accommodation. They will be treated as part of your group and cannot be treated as a separate booking. Caister Weekenders have no way of separating people in the same group booking nor can we take responsibility for this.

Unless you know the people or have had some reasonable contact with them then you should not add them to your booking unless you have clearly defined what is happening regarding your accommodation. Please contact us if you need further assistance. musik26.gif
PLEASE NOTE.... IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE OR SWAP THE PARTY LEADER OF ANY GROUP

Question

What happens if I want to cancel?

Answer

We start to incur costs for your booking from the time your booking is made. Therefore please note that deposits will always be payable once you make a booking. In keeping with most holiday bookings, deposits are always non-refundable and non-transferable. We also absorb all Credit and Debit card charges. If a member of you group wishes to cancel then if you have paid in full it may be possible to refund the balance of their payment, less their deposit, provided we receive a request in  writing by post at least 30 days in advance of the event. Regretfully within 30 days no refunds of any kind can be made.
