Uwe CremerI started as a DJ in 1974 at the age of 13 in Germany.  Inspired by AFN (American Forces Network and BFBS (British Forces Broadcast Service) I developed a real love for soul and R&B.  I grew up with many black American soldiers and I got many of my early DJ experiences from them.

My first club DJ spot was in my home town in Germany at the City Saloon where again the audience was UK/US soldiers and I spent 6 years here DJing six nights a week!!

There has always been two hearts ticking away inside me – one for soul & RnB and the other for reggae which is my other great passion.

My musical influences have been Marvin Gaye, Nile Rodgers. Dick Griffey (SOLAR Records), Barry White, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond and not forgetting Bob Marley.

A few years ago I discovered the UKs longest running Soul Weekender and the rest as they say is history.  It’s always a pleasure to be there with the Caister family.  I love the soul spirit and the family atmosphere.

Apart from Caister I can be heard on Starpoint Radio once a month and 2/3 times a week on my own radio station – Burning Rockers.
